For questions about hypnobirth please visit the dedicated page here.

How much does each session cost?

Each session is £75 to be paid prior to the start of each session.

All sessions are confidential and free of judgemet.

Session which prepare clients for birth follow a separate fee structure found here.

What is the length of each session ?

The first session takes up to one hour and 30 minutes and subsequent sessions are around an hour.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions depends on the issue we’re working on. Some people experience meaningful change after just a few sessions, while others benefit from a longer course of support. You can choose the pace that feels right for you, though many people find a session every two weeks works well.

Do you offer online or in person therapy?

I offer sessions online or from a lovely therapy room in Newbury, West Berkshire.

What does Cognitive Hypnotherapy feel like? Will you hypnotise me?

Cognitive hypnotherapy doesn’t feel strange or mysterious, and you won’t be “put under” or lose control. It’s simply a relaxed, guided conversation that helps you access a calm, focused state, we drift in and out of these states through our day, similar to daydreaming or driving on autopilot. You may close your eyes if you wish, but you don’t have to and you’ll remain fully aware and able to speak or stop at any time. The process is gentle, collaborative, and led by the client’s intended outcomes.

Is there anyone you are unable to treat?

My work follows strict professional standards and ethical requirements. As a registered member of the NCH, QCHPA and CNHC, there are certain situations in which I’m not permitted to offer therapy. Unfortunately, I’m unable to work with anyone who has been diagnosed with epilepsy, as hypnotherapy’s deep relaxation is not suitable, or with conditions involving psychosis, including bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or personality disorders. I also cannot begin therapy if you are currently seeing another therapist.

How do I make an appointment?

Contact me for an entirely free chat that will last about 20 minutes. You can let me know what you’d like to work on and I can explain a little about my approach. This will give us an idea of whether I’m the right therapist for you.
